Now more than ever, the Foodbank needs your help to make the holidays hunger-free this giving season.

Mayflower Marathon is a 57-hour consecutive food and fund drive happening November 18-20, 2022. Last year, this event collected enough food and monetary donations to provide more than 537,000 meals (over 840,000 meals including the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank’s donations). With 57 hours to participate, giving has never been so easy. Simply drive through and donate; volunteers will be on hand to collect your donations.

As the holiday season quickly approaches, your support will allow us to meet the growing needs of our community and provide something many of our vulnerable neighbors lost during the pandemic— hope. Together, with you, we are ending hunger today and nourishing hope for tomorrow.

The Better Business Bureau of Greater Hampton Roads will be hosting ShredFest in honor of Secure Your ID Day at Pembroke Square on Saturday, October 15th! This event will be in the parking lot behind Walgreens at the corner of Virginia Beach Blvd and Constitution Drive from 9am-12pm. Bring up to 3 boxes/bags or up to 50 lbs. of documents that contain information you don’t want in the hands of identity thieves, and they’ll shred it for you - for FREE!

Electric Vehicle Meet-Up - September 24th

Virginia Clean Cities will be set-up in the Parking Lot behind Walgreens on Saturday, September 24th with 50+ electric vehicle owners from around the area from 10am-1pm. There will be a variety of electric vehicles on display including the Rivian and Lightning. Each vehicle registered will get one free raffle ticket for attending. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 each. Prizes will range from Tesla Tequila, a two day stay at Snowshoe WV, and gift cards to local restaurants. Raffle drawing will be at noon.
